We have prepared our first-year recap video as it is already one year since we officially established Ashborne Games as a part of the THQ Nordic family. It was a fascinating ride for the whole team, around 40 people working in Brno, the town in the Czech Republic where most of us live.
The beginning was about being well prepared for remote work because of the Covid-19 and ongoing office reconstruction. It took roughly ten months until the Covid-19 situation improved in the country. Reconstruction took the same time. Now we can enjoy a cozy, modern, and well-equipped office in the center of Brno. We have celebrated new offices with a great BBQ party. It has been a pleasure to see finally each other in person after some time. 🙂
Also, we needed to hit the ground running on two projects.
The first goal was to take over Comanche Early Access after the Nukklear team. We have celebrated Comanche's release together with THQ Nordic family. Our team started working on Comanche in early 2021 while the game was already in Early Access for quite some time. We did our best to research the community feedback calling for more focus on the singleplayer part. We want to express our great thanks to our Early Access and Game Preview Community. Comanche was excellent for us, and we managed to find a successful flow with our THQ Nordic family.
Nevertheless, our primary goal from the beginning is to create a brand new game with management, strategy, and RPG elements. We do our best to ensure that the game will be gorgeous, authentic, memorable, enjoyable, and supported so that players love the game and the team can be proud. The game successfully passed the concept phase, and everything is on the right track for the vertical slice next spring.
It was a genuinely fascinating first year for the Ashborne Games, and we look forward to the following goals, milestones, and our first own game. We need reinforcements to our programmer and art department. So if you like our team and work, feel free to apply or recommend us!
